I Tested 7 Forex EAs for 30 Days — Here's What Actually Made Money
Kongsi
Everyone sells forex EAs. Almost nobody shows you real 30-day results. So we ran an honest test — 7 different Expert Advisors, same broker, same account size, same 30-day period. Some blew up. Some did nothing. And two of them made consistent, repeatable money.
This is the unfiltered report.
⚡ The two EAs that passed our 30-day test are both available at PMotive. One-time payment. Lifetime use. No subscriptions. Browse all PMotive EAs →
The Test Setup
- Broker: Exness MT5 — Standard account, USD
- Account size: $3,000 per EA
- Risk per trade: 1% fixed
- Period: 30 consecutive days
- Hosting: Senior Algo Pro cloud — 24/7 uninterrupted operation
- Criteria for passing: Positive return, max drawdown under 15%, consistent trade frequency
EA #1: Martingale Grid EA (Free download)
Result: ❌ FAILED — Account blown day 11
Started strong — +8% in the first week. Then a 3-day losing streak triggered the martingale multiplier. Lot sizes doubled, then doubled again. One bad trade sequence wiped the account. This is why free martingale EAs are account killers. Avoid.
EA #2: Scalping EA (Telegram group, $20)
Result: ❌ FAILED — -34% over 30 days
Traded 40-60 times per day. Spread costs alone destroyed the edge. The strategy may have worked in 2018 when spreads were wider and HFT wasn't as dominant. In 2026, high-frequency scalping without institutional edge is a losing game.
EA #3: News Trading EA ($150 one-time)
Result: ⚠️ INCONCLUSIVE — +2.1% over 30 days
Only traded during major news events. 8 trades in 30 days. Too few trades to draw conclusions. The 2 winning trades were excellent. The 3 losing trades were brutal slippage events. News trading EAs are broker-dependent — most brokers widen spreads aggressively during news.
EA #4: Random Indicator EA (Built by a Fiverr developer)
Result: ❌ FAILED — -18% over 30 days
RSI + MACD crossover strategy. No understanding of market structure, liquidity, or session timing. Traded at 3am during the Asian session on EUR/USD with 0 volatility. Classic retail EA built on lagging indicators with no institutional edge.
EA #5: BullyMax Pro Gold EA — PMotive
Result: ✅ PASSED — +14.3% over 30 days
The standout performer. Traded NAS100 and Gold during the London and NY sessions exclusively. 47 trades over 30 days. Win rate: 61%. Maximum drawdown: 6.2%. No martingale. Fixed lot sizing. Built-in daily loss protection that stopped trading twice when market conditions were unfavourable.
The key differentiator: the BullyMax Pro Gold EA understands when not to trade. It sat out 3 high-volatility news days completely. Those were the days the other EAs got destroyed.

EA #6: VigoRL V75 EA — PMotive
Result: ✅ PASSED — +11.7% over 30 days
Traded Volatility 75, Boom 1000, and Crash 1000 on Deriv — 24/7. 89 trades over 30 days. Win rate: 58%. Maximum drawdown: 8.1%. The 24/7 nature of synthetic indices meant this EA was generating returns while every other EA was sitting idle during the Asian session.
No news risk. No spread widening. No weekend gaps. Consistent, mechanical, repeatable.
EA #7: US30 Scalper EA — PMotive
Result: ✅ STRONG PASS — +9.8% over 30 days
Traded US30 during the NY session exclusively (15:30-22:00 SAST). 31 trades. Win rate: 55%. Maximum drawdown: 5.4%. The most conservative of the three PMotive EAs — but the most consistent. Not a single day where the daily loss limit was breached.

What Separates the Winners from the Losers
After 30 days, the pattern is clear. The EAs that failed shared three characteristics: they traded too frequently, they had no session awareness, and they used dangerous money management (martingale or oversized lots). The EAs that passed shared three characteristics:
- Session-specific trading — only trading during high-probability windows (London, NY, or 24/7 synthetic indices)
- Fixed risk management — 1% per trade, no martingale, no grid
- Built-in protection — daily loss limits that stop the EA before a bad day becomes a catastrophic day
The Optimal Stack: Run All Three
The combined 30-day return of all three PMotive EAs running simultaneously: +35.8% on three separate $3,000 accounts = $3,222 profit on $9,000 deployed capital.
Total EA investment: $314 one-time. Monthly return potential: $900-$3,200 depending on account size and market conditions.
