BullyMax Pro and FTMO: EA Compatibility and Evaluation Checklist

Check the firm's rules first

FTMO's official strategy FAQ permits algorithmic strategies within its conditions. It also identifies issues around third-party EAs, shared strategies, capital allocation and excessive server activity. General permission to use an EA is not approval of every product or setup.

Check the rules for your specific account, evaluation stage and platform directly with the firm. Save the written terms and ask its support about any unclear requirement before purchasing or running software.

Six checks for a BullyMax setup

1. Platform: confirm that the account uses desktop MetaTrader 5 and supports the intended Gold symbol.
2. Contract: verify the broker symbol, contract size, minimum volume, trading hours and execution costs.
3. Loss calculations: understand the firm's definitions of daily and overall loss, including open positions and reset time.
4. EA controls: check the supplied version and inputs. Do not assume a built-in control exactly matches a firm's rules.
5. Execution restrictions: review rules on news, holding positions, copying, prohibited strategies and order activity.
6. Testing: test the exact environment and document entries, exits, exposure, costs and restart behaviour before considering an evaluation.

What evidence should you ask for?

A screenshot or a reported pass does not establish what another account will achieve. Review the date range, settings, trading costs, drawdown, losing periods and whether the example uses the same account conditions. There is no universal lot size or safe pass schedule that can be copied from an article.
